About these terms

These terms cover your use of pushpafund.com and its subdomains (the "site"), and your contribution as one of the Pushpa People. By joining or contributing, you agree to them. You must be 18 or over to contribute.

The site is run by Pushpa Ltd ("Pushpa", "we", "us"), a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (company number 15772297). Our registered office is at 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. You can reach us at hi@pushpafund.com.

Pushpa is not a charity, so contributions are not eligible for Gift Aid.

How your contribution works

1. Your contribution

Pushpa People contribute an amount of their choice, monthly (from £5 / $7 / €7) or annually (from £60 / $84 / €84), to the fund they join: Bangladesh, or Pakistan from November 2026. Payments are collected by Stripe. Each fund is a separate contribution, so to back a second fund you join it separately.

2. How your contribution is used

Most of your contribution goes to projects. A share is used to cover the costs of running and growing Pushpa: staff, technology, payment processing, due diligence, partner visits, marketing, professional fees such as accountants, legal advisers and consultants, and the costs of setting up and running companies owned by Pushpa Ltd. The directors set this share. It is spent only on running costs and is never paid to directors or members as profit or a return. The share is worked out across all funds combined. We publish the actual figure every month on our public ledger at pushpafund.com/ledger, and for the full year in our annual report. Where corporate partners fund our running costs, the share taken from contributions is lower. If the directors decide to set the share above 30%, we'll email all Pushpa People at least 30 days before it applies. All remaining contributions are held in the fund you chose, for projects and investments selected by Pushpa People through member voting.

3. Ring-fenced funds

Each fund is tracked separately. Money held for projects in one fund is not used for another fund, for running costs beyond the share set under section 2, or for any purpose other than those set out in these terms.

4. How each fund is used

Pushpa People decide how each fund is used through member voting. This can include grants, loans, equity or other investments in projects and businesses, and anything else that backs communities in that fund's country. Every proposal passes Pushpa's due diligence before it goes to a vote. Voting rounds take place roughly every two months, and your contribution may be held until the next round.

A fund can also be used for loans to, or investments in, companies owned by Pushpa Ltd. Each one needs its own member vote. Before the vote, we'll tell Pushpa People about any interest a director has. The terms will be no better for the company than an independent business would get. All repayments and returns go back into the same fund.

Pushpa's directors may hold money that hasn't yet been allocated in savings or deposit accounts without a vote, using profit-share accounts where available. Any interest or profit earned stays in the same fund.

5. Repayments and returns

If a loan is repaid or an investment makes a return, that money goes back into the same fund for future voting rounds. Returns are never paid to Pushpa's directors or members.

6. If a project or investment doesn't go ahead

If a voted project or investment is cancelled or doesn't need its full amount, we'll first look for another way to back the same community or business, for the purpose Pushpa People voted for. If that isn't possible, the unused money goes back into the same fund for the next voting round.

7. If Pushpa closes

If Pushpa ever stops operating, any money held in a fund will be paid to projects and investments already voted for. Any remainder will be given to an organisation with similar aims, chosen by member vote where practical, or otherwise by the directors. It will never be paid to Pushpa's directors or members.

8. What membership gives you

While your contribution to a fund is active, you have a vote in each voting round for that fund. Membership doesn't give you ownership of Pushpa, a share of any surplus, or a financial return.

9. Transparency

Every contribution and payment, including Pushpa's running costs, is published on our public ledger at pushpafund.com/ledger. We also email all Pushpa People a breakdown of running costs every month.

10. Changing or cancelling your contribution

You can change, pause or cancel your contribution at any time through your member dashboard at dashboard.pushpafund.com, or by emailing hi@pushpafund.com. If you cancel within 14 days of your first contribution, we'll refund it on request. Later contributions are not refundable.

11. Currency

Contributions in USD or EUR may be held in that currency or converted to GBP. Money is converted into local currency when it's paid out. Any currency gains or losses stay within the same fund.

When you join, give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Your membership is personal to you, so don't share your login. If you think someone else has accessed your account, email us at hi@pushpafund.com straight away.

You can cancel at any time (see section 10). Your vote ends when your contribution stops.

19. If we end your membership

We may suspend or end a membership if someone seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, for example through fraud, abuse of the voting process, or abuse towards our team or partners. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond first.

22. Changes to these terms
